The bulb burned out for the clock/radio station display. I have been told you cannot repair this, and that I need to buy an entire new system.
Bose stereo system, factory installed on a 2000 Pontiac Bonneville.

Obviously who ever told you that this could not be repaired and you need to purchase a new stereo simply doesn't know what they are talking about! If the dealer told you this, then of course they want to sell you a new $1200 unit! Please contact me by direct Email for more info about your stereo.
