Audio Systems: Car Stereo/CD Player, chrysler town and country, chrysler town and country van

Question
I took my 200l Chrysler Town and Country Van to the dealership for a 90,000 mile service which included cleaning the battery cables.  When I took the van in, the radio/cd player/clock were all working fine.   When I picked up my van after the service, the radio/cd player/clock radio was dead. The dealer said they did not know what was wrong and to take it to someone who specializes in car radios.  The car radio installer that I had look at my radio said it was "fried". The dealer refuses to fix the problem saying that I cannot prove that anything they did during the service destroyed my radio.  What could the dealer have done during the service to destroy my radio?  Is it possible that servicing the battery sent a surge to the radio that "fried" it?

Thanks

Answer
Adrianna,
It's pretty hard to FRY a stereo when cleaning the battery cables. Did you ask the car stereo shop to explain why they think the stereo is Fried. On this year vehicle the stereo may be an anti-theft unit and when the battery cable were removed for cleaning it caused the anti-theft to activate in the stereo which shut it down. The reactivate the stereo you may need to enter an access code. Please give me some more details about the stereo being Fried.
