Audio Systems: Repair to damaged car cd player, car cd player, pioneer deh 2700

Question
Thiefs tried to steal my 2 weeks old Pioneer   DEH-2700 cd player. The detachable face was not in the car but they tried to steel the box. They could not remove it but some damage was done trying. I was able to mount the face back on.The radio works but the cd inside the player would not play. I ejected it and when I tried to re-insert it the player would not take it in. It felt like nothing was grabbing the disc to pull it in. Can you give me any advice?

Answer
Dean,
It's possible that when the crook/s tried to remove the stereo they may have pried on it and bent a part in the load assembly of the CD unit. You or a repair shop should take a look inside the stereo to see what is going on with the CD assembly.
