Audio Systems: Car Radio, auto salvage yards, aftermarket radio

Question
I have a 1999 Ford Escort ZX2.  This past weekend, my car was broken into and the thief not only took the radio, but the entire panel the aftermarket radio was set into, thereby taking out my heating and air conditioning controls as well.  

How can I repair this without excessive cost?

You may want to visit some local auto salvage yards to see if they will sell the complete radio/AC controls. At a last resort the dealer may be able to supply the complete unit, however they will charge you a bundle for this unit.
