Audio Systems: I put a Jensen CD2010X radio..., chevy lumina, noise filters

I put a Jensen CD2010X radio in a 1996 chevy lumina.  I have background noise, a humming or buzzing, that only occurs when the car is running and increase when I accelerate.  It also makes the noise when I play a CD.  What's the problem and what can I do to fix it?

If you have an amplifier installed with the Jensen unit, it may be picking up noise from a ground loop problem. If you do not have an amp and the noise is coming from the Jensen stereo speakers, You will need to install noise filters in the DC power lines to the stereo. Also make sure the antenna ground is clean and secure at the fender location. Lastly you may want to try installing a number 18 gauge stranded wire from the rear of the Jensen to the fire wall of your vehicle.
