Audio Systems: pioneer 5200 deck, speaker wires, car speaker

hi i have a pioneer 5200 deck. the deck worked fine and i was putting it back in my car and it didnt work. no sound was coming out or will come out. the deck powers up and operates normally but i cant get any sound. if i turn it up all the way to 62 on the volume i can hear a little distorted sound from the speakers but nothing clear. i tried a different deck and that one worked fine. i dont know whats wrong. thanks

  connect the pioneer back up but leave the speaker wires disconnected , then get a house speaker, or other car speaker either will work , wire the speaker to one channel say left front or right rear ect.. see if the speaker produces sound .. if no then the unit is junk , toss it and get a new one or if the unit has a warranty its time to take it in , what most likly has happend is while being out of the vehicle it has got some moisture, or some other damage that has affected the internal amp and speaker channels... hope this helps you out if you need anything else let me know
