Audio Systems: car amp, rca outputs, car amp

Question
I have an 89 GMC S-15 p/u and I am installing an amp.  I have power going to my amp, the light is on when I turn on my CD player.  I have full power going to my amp.  It is grounded correctly, my RCA are hooked up correctly.  I am hooking up 2 Kicker 6x9s to the amp.  MY only problem is when I hook my speakers to my amp. I don't hear any sound from my speakers.  I know they work, I just can't get my amp to play sound through them.  I didn't know if you might know why they don't work.  Help, Jeff,    Thank you

Answer
Jeff,
Double check the RCA outputs to be sure they are not sub woofer outputs, or inputs. on some stereos you will have to select the outputs(RCA) and turn up the output levels. To check the output of your stereo you can use a small set of head phones and using adapters, hook up the head phones to the RCA wires and listen for sound when you turn up the volume on the stereo.
