Audio Systems: Digital display gone, hello jeff, theftlock

Question
Tom, I have 75K miles on a 2000 Caddy DeVille equipped with a Delco Bose theftlock CD/Cassette-AM/FM radio with RDS. I removed it from my car pretty easily.
The part # on the side of the radio is 09380786.
The digital displays blew.No clock,no stations are displayed, no sound levels, etc.,etc.
Can I purchase and repair the part necessary to correct the situation myself? Would it be easier to ship/bring it to a repair shop?
Also, does a car dealer have to "unlock" it now that I disconnected it from it's wire harness?
Thanks a million.

Answer
Hello Jeff,
What leads you to believe that the display blew out? With no clock, no display or sound I believe that the stereo has a power supply problem. You may need the lock code if the antitheft  system was activated.
