Audio Systems: sterio wiring, jvc cd player, jeep grand chrokee

i have a 94 jeep grand chrokee lmt. editoin. and i am haveing a little help with wiring. it has a chrystler setup wiring harnes to the factory sterio. i bought the connectors and spliced it to my jvc cd player wires. im pretty sure i have all or it right, but i can't  get it turn of with the ignition. can you help me wire it correctly. i have all the front and rear speakrs correct. the batter lead the the battery lead, the ground to ground and the iginton to the accessorys wire and they are spliced with the 12v batter lead (only wy it turns on) but it will not turn of with the car. are there any wiring tips on connecting what wire to what wire, or any help you can give me.

  ok go back over all your wiring if you have to do it again .. you made the first step in the right direction with a wire harness adapter.. all the wires on the adapter normally wont be wired to the new head unit most like "illumination" ect.. wont be used also the harness recommends you use the power antenna wire but you said you used the 12v accessory wire which is the best one to use check to make sure you dont have your 12v accessory/ignition wire crossed with your 12volt constant wire that comes from your battery normally the ignition wire is red and the constant is yellow i think this is where your hang up is... if you need anything else let me know
