Audio Systems: clarion amp trooubles, car frame, frame body

Question
Hey Tom

I have a 400 watt clarion amplifier problem. I cannot seem to get it to turn on i have installed everything properly i know that because i have been installing for some time now, but i ave no idea why it wont turn on, the only thing i can think of is the amp isint working properly. It is a good amp it worked 2 months ago when i was powering a clarion 10 inch then i unistalled it and let it sit for 2 months and now istalling it into a talon and it wont turn on at all. Could i have blown something i am unaware of inside the amp. The fuse is good so if you have any ideas please help.
Thanks in advance.

Answer
Chris,
If you have a volt meter you can measure the voltage on the main power wires and the remote lead with the radio on. you should measure 12 volts on both power sources. Also double check the DC ground for a good metal to metal connection on the car frame/body. Disconnect the speakers to see if the amp will power up. Let me know what you find out.
