Audio Systems: Blaupunkt repair, blaupunkt radios, blaupunkt toronto

Question
The LCD display on my Blaupunkt Toronto CD car stereo has lost two lines (one vertical and one horizontal) and the right channel cuts out periodically.  I purchased the unit from Crutchfield many years ago and their repair estimate was around $200.
I love the look of the unit, but don't know what I should do.

I repair many of the Blaupunkt stereos. Most of the problems that I find are defective solder connections on the display board. The same goes for the audio problems. $200 for a repair on a radio sounds a little fishy to me. Most of the repairs that my shop does on Blaupunkt radios are around $85.
