Audio Systems: Stero sytem ejects the casset without playing it, casset, radio unit

Hi Tom,
I have 1996, Sentra GXE with a factory installed Radio/Stereo casset palyer. It was working fine( never beed reparied) but few days back it started giving problem. The problem is, whenever I insert the casset in the player, it ejects the casset without playing it after looking both directions (<>)to play. Radio is working fine. I suspect the belt could be broken. Pls tell me if you recognize it same common/specific problem or if the repair is costly then how to remove the stereo system to put a new one.

The clicking back and forth is an indication the the belt is broken or the reel sensor is faulty. As for removing the radio unit, the trim around the radio will need to be removed. the trim will be held in place by screws or it may snap away from the dash. To be sure call your local dealer and ask someone in the service dept.
