Answer
Angela,
I found this info and hope it will assist you. You may be able to get roof closed by using this info and then you will be able to trouble shoot the fuse etc.

The sunroof motor on the 201 (190E) is located in the trunk on the driver's (left in the U.S.) side just ahead of the antenna motor. Remove the plastic liner from the left trunk well/inner fender to reach/see the motor. The problem could be the switch, the motor, the cable, under-lubed rails, or a combination of either. If no action at all, first check the fuse (though you'd probably notice if your radio wasn't working!). If switch is fine and there is clicking from the motor in the trunk, remove and replace the cable. I'd rather replace the cable than clean it as they are not that expensive and a new one will be in tip top shape. Before installing new cable, clean the cable tube. Lube the rails with M-B sunroof crease and see that the roof moves easily by hand. Lube the cable with black moly grease. Install cable. If switch is OK and rails lubed and roof moves easily by hand and new cable is properly installed and the mechanism still does not work, the motor is probably bad. Get a good used one from a junk yard or parts supplier. Very expensive from M-B. Basically, sunroof repair on the 201/190E is a process of elimination, checking and making sure every part is operational, clean and properly lubed down the chain. Doing the job this way will give plenty of operational life to the sunroof. Cutting corners will only exacerbate problems waiting to happen.
Good Luck,
Rob
