Audi Repair: 2001 Audi A4, flasher relay, turn signals

Please help! My turn signals on my 2001 Audi A4 sometimes work and sometimes they don't. The problem just started, when they blink, sometimes it's fast and sometimes not at all. I went to the auto store and they said that it's my flasher relay. I have checked my bulbs and none of them are blown. I have taken the panel off around the hazard and can see the part, just don't know how to get to it. In my manual it list all the fuses but this one is not there. Can you please in more detail help me. Thank you for your time.

The flasher unit is not a fuse, so it will not be listed in the fuses.  The flasher relay is a part that the auto store may have, to replace it you have to remove the panel to get to it, unfortunately I cannot post pictures, but the procedure may be described in detail on the forums.  Do a search on the faq sections of the forums: www.audiworld.com, www.audizine.com and www.audifans.com where I am sure the procedure is described with pictures.  If you cannot find it let me know,  Jan
