Audi Repair: my transmission, transmission problem, audi 100

i have a 1992 audi 100 Q stationwagen it went on safe mode at one time. with a computer i got it out of safe mode but know it dont take of on first gear. It starts driving on second gear.. when i try to do it manualy it dont indicated thats on firet?

It sounds like perhaps your selector is not lined up correctly, maybe when it shows it is in D, it's actually in '2' which would explain taking off in second gear.  I'm not sure what else the problem could be, other than an internal transmission problem.  Let me know if the selector is OK,  Jan
