Audi Repair: Turn signal flasher, plastic lever, screw driver

Question
How does one replace the flasher unit on a 2002 Audi A6 Avant.

I will start by dismantling the cover on the bottom of the steering wheel.  Hope it is inside and I will see it.

The flasher unit is contained in the hazard switch housing and must be replaced as a whole, to replace it remove the moulding above the radio using a screw driver or plastic lever, ( usually wooden or aluminum finish) and prise out the complete hazard unit. installation is in reverse order.
