ANSWER: Sounds like your brake calipers have too much play, get them checked out at a brake specialist.  Do they rattle when you go over bumps?  Let me know,  Jan

QUESTION: no they do not rattle when going over bumps.could it have something to do with the abs module?

Answer
ABS problems are normally a whirring sound or a rapid pulsing combined with a vibrating feedback through the pedal.  It still sounds like either a brake caliper , inner suspension bushing or perhaps a worn anti sway bar bushing.  Lift the car up, grab the wheel and try to move the wheel (physically) in all directions.  If one side has more movement than the other, it is likely a suspension issue.  If not it is probbaly a brake caliper.  Let me know,  Jan
