Audi Repair: Air Filter, cabin air filter, audi a6 avant

Question
Where is the air filter located? I am trying to change air filters and it is the first time for my Audi A6 Avant and I can not seem to locate the air filter.

Answer
I am assuming the engine air filter, not the cabin air filter.  It is located in a fairly large black plastic container which is located on the passenger side of the car engine compartment (USA car) usually a number of clips hold the top part of the lid, which goes to the MAF and the air inlet to the manifold.  Let me know if you still can't find it.  Jan
