Hello Hugo:

On most vehicles, the airbag light should come on for @6 seconds, and then go off if the system is working properly.  If there is a fault or a problem in the system, the light will remain illuminated, or flash continuously.  
Your vehicle will require a scan tool for the proper diagnosis (and not the one at Auto Zone---it needs to be  airbag system specific, like a good body shop or the dealer).

If you have already scanned it and the result was a code indicating the "PAB disable warning lamp open / short to ground", then I would guess you need a new Passenger disable switch.  That switch assembly often burns out and causes a fault code and light to illuminate.

If you have not scanned your vehicle, then start with that.
