Cadillac Repair: Cadillac Question, forensic locksmith expert witness consultant, new orleans auto theft claims

Question
why wont the brake fluid come out of the bleeder after putting in a new brake line on a 88 Cadillac ElDorado. It comes up to the hoses but not the bleeder.

Answer
Hello,

It could be the bleeder is plugged. Remove the bleeder from the caliper and see if the brakes fluid flows from gravity. If plugged, you can try putting a small wire in the screw both on top and in the side hole, then use compressed air to try to blow out what ever is blocking the flow.

There could also be an internal problem with the caliper, meaning you would have to replace it. Most calipers these days are only $30-$50 dollars.
If you had to replace a rusty brake line there may be issues with the caliper pistons due to rust as well. Try the bleeder first.

Good luck!
