Question
THE OBD IS READING IDLE CONTROL SPEED CIRCUIT MALFUNCTION AND
IT IDLES UP AND DOWN CHANGED TPS SENSOR AND EGR VALVE BUT IT
HAS NO CATALYTIC CONVERTER SO I NEED ADVICE ON WHAT ELSE TO DO

Answer
Hello,

I do not understand why people remove the cat. In the 70's we did remove them to run leaded gas. At that time vehicles were not cumputer controlled.

For the optimum fuel efficiency and power, you need all items for the emission system.

You are going to have idle problems as well as others.

When all components are functioning correctly, the computer goes into closed loop. You have no idle problems, your timing is perfect and you get the best mileage and power.

When a component fails or is not connected, the computer runs in open loop, giving you problems

You are asking for an adjustment that cannot be made in its present condition missing the catalytic converter. Your Egr is not functioning as well as the O2 sensor, map sensor and more.

If you get caught without it, you would not go out of your way to advertise it. You are looling at a $50,000 fine as well as the person that removed it.

It is counter productive to play the silly games not having a cat. If you want this car to run a peak efficiency, and idle right, put the converter tube and pipe back on.

My purpose here is not to lecture, but give you the information to realize that the wngine is designed to run with all emission components.
