Cadillac Repair: 97 cadilac catera, temp guage, aluminum engine

ok had new transmission installed on 97 cadilac catera an now the temp gauge on dash is not working an cooling fans are not kicking on maybe somebody can tell me some spots to start first thanks

Hello,  

GThis is not my speciaty, however a good guess is you don't have the coolant sensor and temp guage harnesses
not attached to engine.

I do not know the locations of these sensors on the engine.

I will warn you if this engine runs hot- it self destructs and if not careful you will be installing a new engine too!

Do not drive this aluminum engine hot with the cooling fans not working!
