Cadillac Repair: 1987 cadillac seville power antenna, cadillac seville, replacement antenna

Question
I attained an exceptionally nice 1987 cadillac seville in near immaculate condition. The engine and digital displays are in excellent shape. However, recently the power antenna has been acting up. It does not want to go up or down on it's own. Even when the car is off the antenna motor buzzes like it is continuing to try and lower it. I'm afraid this will ultimately be a problem for my battery or electrical system if it continues. Being as that i may have to get a replacement antenna, is there a fuse or something i could remove to de-activate the antenna motor for the time being? Also, once i order the said antenna(if i can locate it online) would it be a repair that is easily done at home with standard tool set? Would you fore-see any complications in attempting this on my own. Special tool/s perhaps that i would need for this endeavor? Any help you can provide me on this issue would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance for any time you might spend reading and/or replying to this e-mail,

                        sincerely grateful,
