Cadillac Repair: 98 sts will not start, electric fuel pump, fuel pump relay

Question
i have a 98 caddy eldorado sts and i did some work on it and after i got done the car ran perfect for about 30 minutes (idling). i left my garage and got about 100 feet out and it just turned off on me.
havent gotten it started since..
ive tried spraying fuel. into the intake, resetting the brain, and everything else i can think of. it has spark, it's just not getting fuel. it wont start for even a fraction of a second.
what could this be? the fuel pump relay or the fuel pump itself? in the case of it being the fuel pump relay, where is that located?

Answer
Perform this TEST procedure and let me know your results.

1. Remove the gas cap.

2. Listening very carefully with your head out the door and getting as close to the ground and listening at the gas tank.

3. Turn the ignition switch to the ON position ONLY, Do NOT try and start the engine. You should be able to hear the electric fuel pump motor run for only 2 seconds and then it will stop.

4. If you can hear it run for the 2 seconds and then stop, You do NOT have a fuel pump problem.

   (a) If you do NOT hear the fuel pump run for the 2 seconds and stop then the fuel pump is faulty and requires replacement.

5. If the fuel pump is OK, You need to check for spark to the spark plugs.
