Cadillac Repair: lost my keys to a 1991 Eldorado Bairritz, correct keys, new keys

Question
I lost the keys to my 1991 Eldorado and I had new keys made. My car wouldn't start so I put in a new ignition switch. The car still doesn't start but all the accessories work and I get a message that says "security wait 3 minutes and try again".  I was wondering if there is a way to bypass the security so I can drive my car? Thanks- Jim

Answer
Hello,

You do not have normal ignition keys, nor will they work. You key for the vehicle has a chip embedded in the key. You need to contact a local locksmith that has what is known as a VATS Interrogator where he can read the correct resistor chip for your car.
The locksmith can make you correct keys for your car.

The system can be bypassed and if you write me at robo14@aol.com I can give you instructions, but if you do so you have to install a hidden starter disable. To steal your car by a kid, it takes 30 seconds and he does not need a key if you have the VATS bypassed. You may think; my car is too old to steal. Unfortunately too many people have the same thought until their car gets stolen.

If you have comprehensive (fire and theft) and if your car is stolen because this vehicle has a VATS even if you tell the ins company VATS was bypassed they will deny your claim because according to the investigators and their expert this car is "unstealable."
