ANSWER: NO, You do NOT just sell it. Your most likely suspect is with the PASS-KEY system.

Do you know HOW to check the computers for fault codes ?. If you DO, Go ahead and perform the test and let me know what CODES you get.

QUESTION: No I dont know how to check the computer for fault codes, the check
engine computerized message has been up there sense i bought it,along
with a message to CHANGE OIL but i watched him change the oil, i asked
why it still said that they told me that the computer just wasnt reset. i
used to have a spear key,no longer have one.theres no other messages.it
doesnt make ANY NOISE OR TURN OVER but the lights come on.just
cleaned key and tried to start car.display said monitoring engine and
there was a code on the display for about five minutes. i could'nt write
them down in time and when i tried to turn the key again to get the code
they would'nt apear.when brake is applied the speedometer goes from
zero to 160 and the gas hand moves but the code does not show.

Answer
To retrieve the codes from the computers:

1. Turn ignition switch to the ON position.

2. Simultaneously push and hold the OFF and WARMER (^)buttons on your climate control panel for 3 seconds and release them.

3. Look on the fuel display for the codes which will appear as LETTERS & NUMBERS followed by the word HISTORY or CURRENT for EACH CODE that displays.

4. The display will stop at PCM?

5. Turn ignition OFF.

6. Tell me EXACTLY what appeared on the fuel display.
