Nissan Repair: headlight, nissan 240sx, sealed beam

hey this is for my 1992 nissan 240sx hatchback, when i turn the headlamps to the up position and turn the headlights on the right headlight comes on but both the brights work. i checked the connection and it is all good but the second the headlight sealed beam touches the connector there is no power.

I am sorry, I do not understand what the condition is.

Are you saying that when you turn the lights on, the left headlight does not work? and then when you turn the high lights on,  both work?

What do you mean when the sealed beam touches the connector?
