Cadillac Repair: 1983 deville, coolant system, head bolts

Question
QUESTION: I followed instructions from a previous email of yours on how to check for codes. I received no #s or letters on the fuel data but I did have only # on the climate control panel which were -1.8.8 14 16 52 ??? whats that? we just placed a new battery and alternator, lights are on but won't start, it also needs weekly coolant but not leaking, as I've been reading your emails that sounds like we need new head bolts?

ANSWER: -1.8.8 means that you are accessing the computer to display fault codes.

14 = a problem with the coolant system sensor circuitry.

16 = a fault in the charging system.

52 = battery has been disconnected.

70 = the end of the system access of the fault codes.

Do codes 14 and 16 only appear ONCE or do they appear 3 times in a row ?.

such as -1.8.8 14 14 14 16 16 16 52 52 52 .7.0
