Cadillac Repair: 97 seville loosing coolant, blown head gasket, gasket leaks

Question
I was told I had a blown head gasket.  After tearing into it it doesn't appear that it is the head gasket. Still can't see exactly where the leak is coming from but it is not out of the motor. Looks like it's back by the firewall. The temp. at the thermostat is 197 but whats leaking out isn't hot at all. No water in the oil and not leaking out of the overflow. Temp warning has never came on just "check engine coolant level". It seems to be running hotter than usual but needle is right in the middle of the temp gauge. Any thoughts?

Answer
You should have pressure tested the cooling system via a radiator pressure tester to see if you had any internal lekaks. If NOT, You should have removed all the spark plugs and applied 60 lbs of air pressure into each spark plug hole and with the radiator cap OFF looked for bubbles as Cadillac is famous for having head gasket leaks due to lousy head bolts that stretch out the threads in the engine block. You had better heli-coil ALL the head bolts when you reassemble and add the sealant pellets to the cooling system.
