Cadillac Repair: strange behavior, automatic door locks, fleetwood brougham

Question
QUESTION: I have a 95 Fleetwood Brougham with 85,000 miles that at times exhibits strange behavior which my mechanic has not been able to diagnose amd repair.

Occasionally when I'm driving, the automatic door locks will click and the interior lights will flash.  It does not do this constantly, but erratically.  It seems to occur when I brake to slow down or when the pavement is bumpy.  The lights do not always flash when the locks click, and may flash independently.  It will do this for several days, then quit and start doing it again a month or two later.  It seems to occur more during cold or damp weather.

My mechanic is at the Cadillac dealership and is a long time Cadillac Specialist with GM training and is mystified as to the specific cause.  Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

ANSWER: sounds like a fault in the RCDLR/TDM

QUESTION: What is the RCDLR/TDM ?  I have told my mechanic to check it out but have not heard back from him yet.  Thanks.

Answer
What I should have said was that you have a fault within OR an input fault at the Remote Control Door Lock Receiver/Theft Deterrent Module which is where you would perform your test procedures to test the door lock input/output and interior lamp input/output.

In most cases I have found that the fault was with either the door key switch at the drivers outside door lock and or an intermittent fault in the drivers door jamb button.

Have you had ANY work or ANYKIND performed on the car prior to this problem occurring ?.

Did you have ANYTHING fixed or replaced on the car in any part of the car. Maybe a battery replacement or anything else ?.
