Cadillac Repair: 1996 ETC air conditioning, electrical schematics, freon

The air conditioning doesn't come on, I get a 'AC off refrigerant low' error on my dash. Was going to recharge it and when I put a gauge on it, it read in the yellow, which was full.
Checked the AC fuse which was good, cleaned up the connections on the AC relay and put it back, no change.
What's my next move before I take it to someone who knows what they're doing?

If the compressor is NOT running of course the gage is going to indicate that the system is FULL. The compressor MUST be running before you can get an accurate gage reading.

What you need to do is JUMPER the AC relay so you can see what the gage reads and most likely will have to add freon to the system.
