Cadillac Repair: 1994 sedan deville, diagnostic code, climate control

QUESTION: car will die at idle if sitting runs if you get going. Has codes in on board of PO12, PO26,PO31,PO45,PO53,PO98. What would cause all these codes When it dies it will just crank like no fuel but will start an run if you give it a shot of starting fluid

ANSWER: The first thing you need to do is CLEAR ALL the CODES from the computer vuia the climate control panel and then see which codes return as CURRENT or HISTORY.

QUESTION: cleared codes car started ran at idle approximately 5 minutes and died like before. ran diagnostic code PO53 was only code and said it was history

You have a fault in the ignition control module or circuitry if you have the 4.6L engine.

You have a fault in the distributor signal if you have the 4.9L engine.
