Cadillac Repair: hELP, insurance money, water water

QUESTION: THE ENGINE IS FOR A 2000 DHS CADILLAC. i WANT TO KNOW WHAT OTHER SUGGESTION IS THERE GET THIS CAR ON. V-8?

My husband drove on a street where there was a ditch full of water. Water went above the car and the car stopped on him. He has changed the sparg plugs and has let the car sit in the sun. We have being told to let it dry, change the sparg plugs, hit the starter. Can not find the start. Where is the starter?? Any other suggestions?

ANSWER: When you say the water went above the car. Do you mean the car was completly submerged ?.

QUESTION: YES. THE WATER WENT ABOVE THE CAR AND FELL. AFTER HE GOT OUT OF THAT THE CAR JUST QUIT ON HIM.

ALL the computers and electronics in the complete vehicle have been shorted out and your looking at thousands of dollars to fix this vehicle. I would contact your insurance company and try and get it labled as a TOTAL LOSS and take your insurance money and buy another car.

There are literally a hundred or so of electronic devices in this vehicle that have been destroyed by the water.
