QuestionQUESTION: Yesterday afternoon when I cranked my car, a 1989 Cadillac Sedan Deville with approximately 180,000 miles, I noticed the distance (mile range I could drive on the gas) was not showing correctly. The gallons showed an F for a full tank; however, the car was showing like 3 miles, an L and then it started to come up and was showing 187 before I got home. I did not have real far to drive. The car was running fine. I just thought it might be something that would correct itself as we all know computers have issues at times. My husband drove my car today and he has told me about some issues he had as the electrical on the dash was blinking and giving weird numbers and alphabet, heater came on and he could not turn it off. Again, the car was running fine; however, he was afraid something with the electrical might make the car shut down. He just replaced the plug wires and changed the oil on Sunday afternoon and the car was running great. My husband can fix most things; however, he is not sure where to start with this. Please advise.
