Cadillac Repair: Tempreture Sensor controlling HVAC 95 Fleetwood., extreme settings, dash panel

Question
I just purchase a 95 Fleetwood. I had the heater core flushed because it would not produce heat. I now have heat but when I set the temp to 72 or any thing below the car still heats up past that tempreture. If I set it to 60 it blows cold. Is there a tempreture sensor that is not working that is causing the HVAC not correctly regulate the inside tempreture in the car?

Answer
Calvin,
The two extreme temp settings are a MAX. over-ride setting. All temp settings in between utilize the in-car temp sensor to determine how to set the air-mix door. If the two extreme settings appear to work, then check the in-car temp sensor behind the dash panel. There's a flexible hose that runs between it and the fan case. This draws inside air in through a small housing behind the dash that holds the temp sensor.
