Cadillac Repair: 1993 Cadillac STS - no Breaks, brake master cylinder, plastic jug

Question
First off, thank you for your time. the breaks in my cadillac just went out while driving today. now I have all kinds of messages on the computer display. "Traction disabled, check break fluid, ABS light is on as well"
Any ideas?

Thank you

Answer
If the brake pedal goes all the way to the floor and the car does not stop, Check the fluid level in the BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER located in the engine compartment attached to a big round black metal drum that is your BRAKE BOOSTER just above the steering column and remove the lid from the master cylinder and see if there is any brake fluid in it. If NOT, put some brakle fluid in it up to thr FULL MARK as stamped on the plastic jug.

If the brakes do work but it takes alot of foot pressure to stop the car and the brake pedal does NOT go all the way to the floor, replace the BRAKE BOOSTER.
