Ford Repair: Electrical power issue, slow trickle, power battery

Question
Driving home, head lights dimmed, "All" gauges quit, "Dash" warning lights came on and then dimmed and then the engine died. Have replaced the battery with a 875amp cranking power battery and replaced the belt. The next day, drove 45km. and the same thing happened again.
What happens now??

Answer
Now you change the alternator and have the new battery fully charged on a slow trickle and tested. You may have already cooked the new battery. Most parts stores test the alternator, battery, and starter on or off the vehicle. If it is you're only means of transportation, fully charge the battery and don't run any lights, radio, etc.
