Cadillac Repair: power window module, fuse block, wire terminal

Do you know where the power window module is located on a 1996 sts? Also, power seats not working at all,any ideas/ Thanks.

Hi Greg,

     If you meant the express down window module for the drivers window it is located inside the drivers master switch. There aren't any individual window modules for a '96.

     If both power seats don't move at all then check for power at the seat switch connector with it unplugged on the red wire terminal H. That comes from the seat circuit breaker under hood in the LH Maxi fuse block. Then test for ground on the black terminal G wire. It is bolted below the drivers seat under the carpet so the seat would need to be removed to check it. If you put your voltmeter or test light on both wires then the seat switch, motors and wiring between the switch and motors need to be tested. Since this is an older car you might pull back on the rubber boot that is in between the LF door hinged and search for a heavy/large wire that may have flexed in half. Bill
