Cadillac Repair: 1996 DEVILLE, message validation, validation error

HOW DO I FIX CODE RF2560, AND WHAT DO IT MEAN.

RF2560 = RFA message validation error.

NOTE: Does your remote controls work the door lock/unlock and all the other functions ?. If NOT, Replace the battery and reprogram the remotes.


FIRST let's ERASE the code from the computer and see if it returns.

1. Ignition switch ON. Engine OFF.

2. Press and hold the OFF and WARMER (^) buttons on your climate control panel for 3 seconds and release them. After the code displays the display will say PCM?

3. Keep pressing and releasing the LO (v) Button on the climate control panel until you see RFA?

4. Press and release the HI button and you will see RFA CODES?

5. Press and release the LO button and you will see RFA DATA?

6. Keep pressing and releasing the LO button until you see RFA CLEAR CODES?

7. Press and release the HI button and you will see RFA CODES CLEAR.

8. Push the AUTO button and turn OFF the ignition key.
