HELP!

Answer
Hi Bert,

After checking for bulletins at work the only thing that came up was that an after market/non factory installed alarm or remote starter if it malfunctioned can cause the starter to kick in. Other than that I don't have any fixes for you other than my thought on the ignition switch somehow allowing the starter to kick in and that replacing it might solve the problem.

If this happens with regularity then having a wiring diagram and being able to disconnect the circuit at different locations might find out where the problem originates from. A thought I just had would be to start the engine and then disconnect the smaller ignition wire and either install a voltmeter or 12 volt testlight to that wire and when the light turns on or the meter shows voltage then the circuit can be traced back without having the starer engage.

Hopefully I have been of some help. Bill
