Cadillac Repair: Fan fault code, radiator fan, heater blower

I have a 1988 Eldorado and the display says fan fault so I believed that 80% of the time it is the fan motor.Is this code for the radiator or the A/C heater blower motor?

FIRST check your computer for FAULT CODES as this is a radiator fan fault.

1. Ignition ON. Engine OFF.

2. Simultaneously push and hold the OFF and WARMER buttons on your climate control panel for 3 seconds and releas them.

3. CODES in the form of letters and numbers will appear, such as E441 or EE441 or any other combination. They display will stop at ECM?

4. Write down EVERYTHING that displays EXACTLY as it displays and let me know what you get.

5. turn ignition OFF.
