Cadillac Repair: ac 1996 eldorado etc 4.6l, vacuum leak, plastic vacuum

Question
QUESTION: hey tom  when i have my ac on and drive and step on the gas it sucks air out off the air condition vents and doesnt blow out hard until i take my foot off the gas and also if i idle the car for a while with the ac one the temp goes up and i also noticed once i shut the ac off the fans both go off i have full anti freeze please help thanks

ANSWER: The most common cause when you step on the gas pedal and all the air goes to the defroster vents, This is caused by a vacuum leak in the vacuumm line that comes from the engine compartment thru the firewall and onto the AC/HEATER PROGRAMMER under the glove box on the passengers side.

Have someone check the black plastic vacuum line that goes thru the firewall for a leak.

Answer
I need to know which codes are CURRENT (C) and which codes are HISTORY (H). As each code displays on the screen it will indicate (H) or (C) with the code being displayed.

This statement you made makes NO SENSE: when i turn the ac on both go one but when i shut it off they both go on is this normal..

Does the main (BIGGER) fan eventually come ON or does the engine overheat ?. If the bigger fan comes ON and the engine is not overheating it is working fine.

The smaller fan comes on when the AC is ON or it will come ON with the larger fan if the engine reaches to high of a temperature to help cool down the engine.

do you have ANY exhaust leaks in the exhaust system and if you DO, WHERE is the leak.??
