Cadillac Repair: A/C 1993 Cad. Allante, jumper wire, ac system

Info center says Low Refrigerant- A/C Compressor OFF. I need to know what I have to do to reset the system so I can add freon.

Jumper the AC lOW PRESSURE SWITCH, NOT the LOW PRESSURE SENSOR, The lOW PRESSURE SWITCH should be mounted on the accumulator (receiver/drier) or about 6 inches from the accumulator (receiver/drier) towards the firewall next to the shock/strut tower which will make the compressor run so you can add additional freon. once you add your 1 can of freon, remove the jumper wire from the lOW PRESSURE SWITCH wiring harness, Plug the plug back on the switch and the AC should work UNLESS you have a CHECK ENGINE light illuminated on the dash. If you DO, you will need to CLEAR (erase) any codes that are in the computer.

If the AC system is TOTALLY empty of freon due to a massive leak let me know.
