Cadillac Repair: 1999 Seville SLS - head gasket, seville sls, head gasket

Question
I am being told that I have a head gasket bad on my 1999 Seville SLS and that there is no easy way to fix it.  They are recommending either a new engine or selling the car.  To fix it they said it would cost as much as a new engine and if they were to fix it they would have to pull the engine, send it to a machine shop and have them blueprint the bolt threads.  Do you have any better ideas?

Thanks

Answer
That is EXACTLY the best way to repair the problem because the engine has problems with the head bolt threads in the engine block being stretched and will no longer hold a bolt tight enough so they have to drill out the holes and put inserts in the engine block for all the bolts.

There is no other way to properly fix this problem other than a replacement engine.
