QuestionQUESTION: how do i find instuctions on how to reset computer so a/c will work again, everything has been replaced and charged 3x, but service a/c lite still lite?
ANSWER: 1. Ignition ON. Engine OFF.
2. Simultaneously push and hold the OFF and WARMER buttons for 3 seconds and release them.
3. Diagnostic codes will appear either once or 3 times and then go to the next code.
4. Display will stop at .7.0
Simultaneously push and hold the OFF and HI buttons until you see E.0.0 and release the buttons. this will clear the "E" codes.
Simultaneously push and hold the OFF and LO buttons until you see F.0.0 and release the buttons. this will clear the "F" codes.
turn ignition OFF.
Recheck for codes via steps 1 thru 4 and let me know what codes appear and how many times each code appaers and if they are "E" or "F" codes.

QUESTION: ok, step 1-4 done, code starts with 8.8.8., .f, f41, f48, then .07 then done. let me know if these code mean anything, their are no e-codes that show. thanks, gary
AnswerF41 = cooling fan problem.
F47 = very low A/C refrigerant warning condition.
Did you remove all of the R-12 freon from the system ?.
Did you evacuate all the air from the system with a vacuum pump ?.
Did you recharge the system with the correct amount of R-12 freon ?.
You CANNOT use R134 freon in an R-12 system in a Cadillac as the sensors are NOT programmed for R-134 freon.
