where is the valve located,how do i replace it,the heater is blowing cold air& the heater core isn't clogged.

1. Open the glove box.

2. remove the inner liner of the glove box.

3. Using a light, locate a pencil sized steel threaded rod attached to a clip. Switch 90 degrees heat while watching this metal rod and it should move towards you several inches. Does it ?.

4. Turn the system to 60 degrees AC and this rod should move several inches away from you. Does it ?.

5. When this rod is moving is it making any noise ?.

no, rod moves with temp change.still no heat! how do i get to the  blend door,& heatercore on this '93 sedan deville

Answer
There is no heater core valve.  The blend door is attached to the rod I told you about.

Mark the threaded rod so you know where to replace it back in the same spot in the plastic snap connector and disconnect it from the snap connector. Pull the rod towards you manually and see if you get heat out of any vents.
