Cadillac Repair: 1988 cadillac fuel problem, oil pressure switch, cadillac eldorado

Question
my situation is i have a 1988 cadillac eldorado and im not getting any fuel out of the injectors. the car ran fine until i took the throttle body off to clean it up a bit and when i put it back on im not getting any fuel from the injectors all i get is a quick spurt and then nothing. the car wont start and im pretty sure i dumped a good amount of fuel into the motor while checking to see if the fuel pump is pumping fuel to the injectors. turns out the pump is working fine but i still cannot get the motor to start. my light that says engine control system is on what should i do with it?

thanks,
mike

Answer
What you have most likely done is saturated the engine oil with gas and the oxygen sensor is now sensing this vast amount of fuel in the oil as you crank the engine and the oxygen sensor is transmitting a flooded condition to the computer which will shut OFF the fuel supply and or you got the oil so diluted that the oil pressure switch will not close due to the thin oil.

Repalce the oil and filter on the vehicle and see if it now starts. If it does start, Change the oil and filter AGAIN to get all the gas contamination out of the oil system.

Also pull all the spark plugs as they are most likely dripping with gas.
