Cadillac Repair: will not start, alligator clip, cadillac deville

Question
I own a 1983 Cadillac Deville with the 4.1
I am not able to start the vehicle.  I have installed a new fuel pump and have fuel pressure.
If I spray starting fluid into the TBI the car will start but will only run for a few seconds.  What do you suggest I check next?  Thank you for your time.

Answer
How much fuel pressure do you have at the engine ?.

If you cannot see any fuel being sprayed from either fuel injector on the engine:

1. disconnect one of the 2 wire connectors on one of the injectors.

2. take a test light and put the alligator clip on one of the 2 disconnected wires and the tip of the test light on the other wire.

3. Try and start the car and see if the test light flashes ON and OFF as you crank the car oes it ?>

One of the 2 wires on the disconnected injector wire should have battery voltage when the ignition key is ON. Does ONE ?.

You can check the other injector in the same manner.
