Cadillac Repair: 88 Cadillac Seville Service soon Light, cadillac seville, cadillac dealership

My Cadillac seville's Service soon light comes on with the engine control light. It goes off, but comes back on again.
When we turned on the airconditioning, the engine shut down.
We took it to our local shop who in turn told us we had to go to a cadillac dealership to find the problem.
Any suggestions or help would so be appreciated.

Let's check your computers for CODES:

1. Ignition ON, Engine OFF.

2. Simultaneously push and hold the OFF and WARMER buttons until the whole display illuminates and release the buttons.

3. CODES will start to appear and will stop when you see ECM?.

4. Write down these codes EXACTLY as they appear. EXACTLY AS THEY APPEAR.

5. You should see codes numbers that begin with E or EE and possibly codes that begin with F or FF.

6. Turn OFF ignition and let me know what the codes are.
