Cadillac Repair: Service ride control, 1993 Eldorado, rear strut, message screen

I was rear ended recently , one issue was that the muffler jammed into the right rear strut. Upon redelivery of the car as "repaired" The "Service Ride Control" appeared onthe message screen. Can I assume the the Right rear strut was danaged causing the servive ride control message to appear, or some closely related latent damage.

Perform this test for fault codes:

1. Ignition ON, Engine oFF.

2. Simultaneously push and hold for 2 seconds the OFF and WARMER buttons on the display panel.

3. Write down ALL the letters and numbers that appear and how many times they appear until the display stops and indicates .7.0

4. Turn ignition OFF.

5. let me know what codes you get.
